Women empowerment in Jordan ----part 2

You know what is really needed is to increase women's confidence in their abilities. most females are brought up in way that they are dependent on males weather financially or socially. This is changing of course but in a slow motion . When women work, they will have their own funds as well as their own relations but when males convince them that there is no need for their work, some like the idea and consider it a sort of luxury unaware of the sacrifice they have made.

You're discussing a very hot topic which is women empowerment, i believe that the whole image have changed toward women empowerment and rights in Jordan , they can now work , speak up for their rights , and even lead ! if we go back in time 10 years, we wouldn't find this i think , women were not allowed to work , travel , or in other word they cant be independent , she cant even decide what to cook for that day ..

We're living in a very modern country now and i so believe that women have proved that they can do it , they can work professionally, - one of my assistants is a girl and i so believe that she is very talented and deserves much more " professionally speaking " -

Hello, it is nice to find such a space where the topic of women empowerment could be discussed freely by Jordanin women and men. I am working on a research project for women empowerment through ICT. The pupose of the project is to help women find the mental space where they can talk their minds regarding violence against women and identify how they could be co-contributing to GBV and VAW without even realizing. It is exciting to work with a group of motivated women to investigate what is in our being and doing is maintaing violence against women. Hopefuly we will identify how we could use ICT to empower women in their stand to prevent or reduce the incedence of Violence. I beive there are so much need to be done to help women find the mental space where they can reflect on their social and cultural forces that hinder their empowerment. May be they could identify what is it they need to change to attain the level of empowerment they are striving for.
